What if Y Combinator was a city?

Every company ever funded as a place you can walk. Districts are categories, building height is team size, pedestrians are real founders and they'll stop to say hi.

I researched all 6,077 YC startups. I wanted to know: do these startups share anything in common? And how have trends shifted over time?

Every launched Y Combinator company, embedded by what it actually does and projected onto a single map, so neighbours build similar things. Describe your own idea and it finds the nearest ones — who they are, when YC funded them, and how many survived.

Fun weekend project. We were curious which company YC founders actually choose to work at: OpenAI or Anthropic.

The answer is a Sankey diagram.

A gym for cold calls. You call an AI prospect that talks back and stays in character the whole way through — skeptical, too busy, stalling, pushing back on every point — and difficulty runs from easy to brutal.

A tool for finding premium domains. It watches domain status continuously and pings you on Telegram (and elsewhere) the moment one frees up.

It can also hunt by length — 2- and 3-letter domains are the premium ones, so it keeps searching for those and tells you when one becomes available.

A B2C app that cuts food waste at local businesses — restaurants, cafés, and bakeries. Nearby surplus food shows up on a map, either discounted or free.

Anyone could build their own quiz and share it — especially handy for teachers assessing their students.

I wrote it in PHP at 14–15, after learning the language in a week. The code is not great and I know there are bugs and vulnerabilities in there. I'm not going to fix them; I'm busy now :((

Still, it was my first "big" project, and it took 1st place at a contest called O'quvchi yoshlar media festivali.
